Michael Talavera is Metropolis Salon’s owner and Hair Stylist/Colorist, based in Washington, D.C., with over 21+ years of styling and cutting experience. Michael cultivated his skills under leading industry stylists in the Santo Domingo, New York City and D.C. areas. He is a professional in creating healthy hair, styling, and coloring, working exclusively with DAVINES, a natural Italian product line. Michael established Metropolis Salon in 2016. His attention to hair details, passion for fashion and style, drives him to craft cuts, and treatments consistently at the forefront of today's trends. He is renowned for his versatility in styling and cutting techniques, his evaluation of hair responses and visual effects, and his range of product knowledge. These skills make him and his staff at Metropolis Salon the sought after stylists for DC's media personalities, government officials, and ambitious professionals of Capitol Hill and K Street NW. Michael loves to travel to fun places, lots of plants and he is a “foodie”, enjoying well cooked meals at home and throughout the DC restaurant scene.

COLORIST | HAIR STYLIST

Jaqueline is a Master Stylist. When asked how long she's been a Hairstylist, she answers "from birth". Jacqueline has honed her craft in education centers, such as Vidal, Sassoon, Toni, and guy, Graham Webb, Hair Color specialist with Wella, Corp. She has spent 12 years working with some of the top stars on the Las Vegas strip!

Her specialty is anything that is color related. Balayage, highlights, corrective color, is her love. make an appointment today to have a precision classic or trendy haircut and color.

MASTER COLORIST | HAIR STYLIST

Andrea is a creative and passionate Master Stylist who specializes in color, balayage, and dimensional blondes and brunettes. She is dedicated to enhancing each client’s natural beauty through personalized, custom looks that highlight unique features and align with individual lifestyles.

Whether it’s a fresh color, a trendy cut, or transformation, she takes pride in helping every client look and feel their absolute best.

Well, hello!

My name is Cristina, and I was born and raised in Washington, DC. As the years go by, I find myself more and more at heart, a homebody. My ideal night is spent with my son. I love cooking dinner with my sidekick, playing tennis, working out, and watching horror movies in the morning. My whole life, I have been engulfed in all things beauty and caring for others, so cosmetology was bound to be a part of my journey.

I have been with Metropolis for 4 years now; I call it my second home. Nothing has made me feel more at home than this! I am a very smiley, caring girl and love wigs—yes, wigs! If you ever see me, wave at me.
